Stock band causing skin irritation. What's being done?
WEBLet's guess that all Garmin bands will probably do the same thing as they likely use the same base material. If you like this style of band, try a leather band. I personally like metal bands that clasp. There's also things like Melanese loop metal bands. Check out Amazon or eBay for lots of options in 20mm watch bands.

WEBQuestion for those who have used leather straps extensively on their Garmin watches - do they stink & or become very tattered after extensive use? I have a F5X with the standard black silicone strap. Thinking of getting a leather strap but am concerned that as my 24/7 strap it will quickly start to smell and get very tattered.

WEBI wear them 24/7. I remove the watch and clean it with soap and water everyday before putting it on charge whilst I shower. I then put it back on again post shower. This obviously occurs post workout as well. It never happens where the strap goes (silicone, leather or titanium bracelet), only the watch back.

WEBGarmin chest straps working on Garmin watch (in the case of the 935) two levels of running dynamic information (HRM-Run/Tri). Garmin Straps are ANT + only and work well with the firstbeat metrics (Anaerobic/Aerobic etc..) whereas not so well with, let's say, Polar's H10.
Garmin Nylon straps anyone? How is quality, weight etc.
WEBThe rubber band that came on the 6 is 24g, the nylon band is 25g. The rubber band from my 935 was 23g. I like the looks of the nylon band but it seems a bit stiff and no stretch.

WEBBeing that the watch uses 22mm size straps I can't see any reason why these wouldn't work on the Fenix/Fenix + or other models that use that size. The drawback is the price. Good lawd, it's ridiculously high! $199 for the new nylon or leather

WEB* There are plenty of two-piece NATO straps around that will neatly avoid the need for hole-cutting around the HR sensor. But I'm sticking with my purist intent. * Technically speaking, a 3-ring ZULU strap will work better than a 5-ring NATO strap, because the Zulu will have one layer of strap over the sensor, whilst the NATO will have two-layers.

WEBThe stock straps and aftermarket variants of them for the Fenix 5 are super comfortable, but since I only have a 6.5" wrist the straps are really long and wrap 2/3 of the way around my wrist.

WEBAre you using the original band? I was going to get another one, but the company that made them said they had a lot of issues with Garmin watches (particularly VA3 and VA3 music) because the actually slot is slightly bigger (more like 20.5 mm?). I ended up getting a 245 music band directly from Garmin and that fits great.
