Also, even with small raw files, when you zoom in and pan around the image, the image freezes every time you move it. “Normal” Lightroom (non-classic) runs a lot smoother.

Not a huge deal, but it is annoying. Ordered a M1 MacBook Air 16GB RAM, 512 GB Storage, should be delivered in Mid May, looking forward to taking delivery.

Nothing wrong with saving money, its not like the M1 Air is a bad computer and you may prefer the wedge design. Spend the money you saved upgrading the RAM.
