WEBSep 25, 2021 · Bezel needs to be thick enough for structural purposes. To me, aesthetics of a device wont be more important than a device that works even though it might look a bit dumber. With that being said, thinner bezel I think mostly just for reducing its footprint and nothing much more than that, similar to what’s happening on iPad mini 6.

That gap shouldn’t be there, return it. Otherwise long term moisture and more dirt/dust will get inside the phone.
