The water rescue team from Arlington County rescued dozens of people in Southwest, Virginia, as Hurricane Helene's raging waters surrounded their homes.

As storming from Helene impacts parts of Southwestern Virginia, crews from Northern Virginia have remained on alert to aid in rescues where needed.

Six members of Chesterfield Fire and EMS, who are part of the Virginia Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (VAHART), have returned home after being deployed to the western part of Virginia after severe storms moved throughout the state.
