UCLA quarterback Ethan Garbers didn't practice Monday, but coach DeShaun Foster is somewhat optimistic about Garbers playing against Penn State.

Garbers, who left last week’s loss to Oregon after taking a big hit, was given a day to rest and was not seen practicing with the team on Monday evening.

Garbers was sacked four times in the loss to the Ducks and had -18 net rushing yards as a result. The quarterback who stuck with the Bruins for his entire college career is continuously facing pressure from defenses, and UCLA is collectively feeling the weight of it.
