A Providence club has been ordered to shut down by the Board of Licenses after three people were reportedly stabbed early Saturday morning. According to Col. Oscar Perez, around 1:45 a.m., officers were called to Club Lovera on Broad Street for a report of a stabbing.

The Providence Board of Licenses temporarily closed a club down for 72 hours following reports of a shooting early Sunday morning. The board held an emergency hearing for Club Mezzo, located at 393 Charles Street.

The suspected attacker had fled the scene but police were notified when he went into the emergency room at Rhode Island Hospital to receive treatment, according to Providence Police Chief, Oscar Pérez.

Shortly after 1 AM on Saturday, police were called to a disturbance at Lo Vera VIP on Broad Street. Police said that upon arrival, they encountered two males in their 20s suffering from stab sounds. The victims were taken by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital.
