Sony introduces restrictions for PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition pre-orders in Japan to combat scalpers and give genuine buyers a fair shot.

Like any elusive product drop, the PS5 Pro has seen some outrageous secondary market prices. Scalpers have listed the enhanced console above $1000, about $300 more than its MSRP. Worse is the 30th Anniversary edition,

Japanese players have generally been receptive to the idea, although some believe more could be done. Still, this is superior to the process in the UK and US, where players joined a virtual queue and simply had to pray they got access to the site quick enough to pull the trigger.
