Kia EV9 is set to be launched in India along with the EV9 electric SUV on 3rd October 2024 along with the new generation Carnival.

The Kia EV9 will rival the Mercedes-Benz EQE and the BMW iX. Both EQE and iX start at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom).

Kia Electric Cars: "Next year, we plan to introduce one electric model in the mass segment," Kia India MD and CEO Gwanggu Lee said.

Kia recommends that the Indian government maintain incentives for zero-emission vehicles to prevent a slowdown in their adoption. The company's MD noted that inadequate charging infrastructure and high repair costs are major hurdles.
