Joker: Folie a Deux’ is about to bring its madness to theaters on October 4, and now we know that there are a few small tributes to Jokers past.

For those unfamiliar with the project the film picks up following the events of Joker and sees Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) now institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his various crimes. It's during this time that he meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn (Gaga), and with her, the music that's inside of him.

Folie à Deux” will play at the San Sebastian Festival as the surprise film of the ongoing 72nd edition. The movie, starring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, world premiered at the Venice Film Festival and had its North American premiere at Toronto.

Oscar-winning & $1B+ grosser Joker did not release in China, but the sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, has been confirmed for October 16 in the market

Set for release on Oct. 1, the long-awaited sequel comes five years after “Joker” (2019), which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2019.
