Islamabad: Punjab police has registered three new cases against Pakistan ’s jailed former prime minister Imran Khan following a protest by his party on his call at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh area on Saturday.

The 71-year-old leader is accused of inciting supporters to protest against national institutions while issuing directives from Adiala Jail, where he has been held for over a year.

Dozens of supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan were injured Saturday in clashes with police in the garrison city of Rawalpindi near the nation’s capital of Islamabad.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A terrorism case has been registered against incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in connection with protests and vandalism in Rawalpindi. The case was filed at New Town police station by Sub-Inspector Umar Siddique.

Imran had closed his doors to talks with all the parties, including the military establishment, signalling a hardened stanc. He said all leaders had been advised not to hold any discussions, saying the establishment is acting like a 'third umpire'.
