Cinema chain operator Cineworld's restructuring plan was approved by London's High Court on Monday, despite opposition from two landlords.

The court in London was previously told the four companies would be likely to enter administration if the plans were not approved.

The Crown Estate has kicked off a legal battle with Cineworld over claims that the chain is acting unfairly by forcing through sweeping cuts to its rental bills to stay afloat.

Following ‘Plan Meetings’ held on September 18, Cineworld creditors have approved the aggressive restructuring plan for the debt-ridden cinema chain.
