Some Verizon customers in Milwaukee have been caught up in what’s become a widespread service outage affecting more than 100,000 people in multiple states. Verizon said the company is "aware of an issue impacting service for some customers.

Affected customers say their phones are in SOS mode. It comes as the carrier is also battling outages in the Southeast due to Hurricane Helene.
