Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have each notched early wins in reliably Republican and Democratic states so far.

The Republican candidate is projected to win the states of Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia, while Ms Harris is expected to win Vermont.

Former UK prime minister Boris Johnson has argued that Donald Trump brought “peace and relative stability” during his tenure as US president, while Succession’s Brian Cox described him as a “monster”.
