Following their row with Martin Platt star Sean Wilson, Coronation Street bosses have called for John Thomson to replace him in Helen Worth's final storyline as Gail Platt.

Sean Wilson has spoken out for the first time since his sudden exit from Coronation Street. Actor Sean, who is 59, was set to return to the ITV soap as Martin Platt for Gail ’s ( Helen Worth) departure storyline. The scenes were set to play out over the autumn but last month, it was reported that the actor had ‘stepped down for personal reasons’.
