Subaru has a new Strong Hybrid powertrain with a much more powerful electric component, and we should see it soon in a Forester Hybrid.

Come mid-2025, the Subaru Forester Hybrid will become available in the US market. Unfortunately, technical details are not available as of this writing

The first Forester Hybrid, unlikely to have a charge port, is due to arrive in the U.S. sooner than Subaru had originally let on.

Subaru has been without a hybrid vehicle, at least in the U.S., since the Crosstrek Hybrid bowed out at the end of 2023. The automaker has an electric vehicle in the form of the Solterra, but the arrival of the Forester Hybrid will mark the brand's return to the hybrid segment.
