India took 18 balls to race to a half-century, the fastest ever in Test cricket as Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal go berserk against Bangladesh in Kanpur.

Team India broke the record for fastest team fifty and fastest team hundred by getting there in three overs and ten overs respectively during day four of the second Test in Kanpur on Monday.

After skittling Bangladesh for 233 runs in the first innings, team India openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out all guns blazing. The duo smashed runs at will as India crossed the 50-run mark in just the fourth over to create a world record of fastest team fifty.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal led India to break five world records with a dominant batting display on Day 4 of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.

The Indian innings began with Jaiswal collecting three successive boundaries from Hasan Mahmud's first over. It was followed by Rohit Sharma taking the gear up a notch with consecutive maximums off his first two deliveries.
